How Volumetric Mixers Helped Whitley’s Concrete Products Meet Demand for Septic Tanks

Whitley’s Concrete Products, based in Conroe, Texas, has been pouring septic tanks since 1970, serving the wastewater industry with quality and reliable products. As demand increased, they faced challenges with their old volumetric mixer, which frequently broke down, causing delays and costly downtime. To solve this, the company invested in a new Cemen Tech volumetric mixer that significantly improved their operations.

Kathy Schwartzrock, the company’s manager, explained that the old equipment was becoming unreliable. “It was constantly breaking down, and that cost us money and wasted a lot of time,” she said. With the need for a constant concrete supply, they decided to upgrade to a Cemen Tech mixer based on the recommendation of one of their concrete suppliers.

The new mixer, a Cemen Tech SCD8-100, quickly proved its worth. “It’s so easy to operate that even my husband, who doesn’t usually handle the equipment, could run it when our operator was out,” Kathy mentioned. The ease of use and reliability have been game-changers for Whitley’s Concrete Products.

Beyond ease of use, the quality of the concrete mix has also improved. Customers have commented on the smooth finish and durability of their tanks compared to competitors. Kathy highlights that Cemen Tech’s service has been equally impressive. “When Texas humidity caused a clog in the mixer, Cemen Tech had a new part shipped to us the next day, and we were back up and running.”

For Whitley’s Concrete Products, the investment has been worthwhile. Kathy’s closing thoughts: “For what we’ve gotten in return, the price is well worth it. We are ready to meet the growing demand for our tanks, and thanks to Cemen Tech, we can do so with confidence.”
