Keeping Up with Nashville’s Growing Demand

Pavement Restoration, Inc. (PRI), based in Milan, Tennessee, began as a pothole repair company but has grown into a key player in asphalt and concrete services across the state and beyond. As business in the booming Nashville metro area expanded, PRI faced a challenge: How could they handle multiple concrete jobs in one day without wasting time or money on multiple truckloads?

“We’re covering everything from sidewalks to utility line work in Nashville,” explains Jon Hargett, the owner of PRI. “The problem was, we needed something versatile enough to do different kinds of pours on the same day with the same equipment.”

Cemen Tech C60 – A Mixer That Does It All

The solution came in the form of Cemen Tech C60 mobile concrete mixers. These mixers provided PRI with the flexibility they needed. With just one truck, PRI could switch between different concrete mixes quickly and efficiently, reducing downtime and eliminating the need for multiple vehicles.

“We can do a 3,000 psi kicker, then switch to a 4,000 psi mix for a headwall, and finish off by pouring flowable fill—all from the same truck,” says Hargett. “That means we don’t need three trucks when one can do it all. It’s saved us a ton of time and hassle.”

Easy Operation and Reliable Results

For the crew at PRI, learning to operate the C60 was a breeze. The truck’s user-friendly design, with simple controls and remote features, allowed drivers to manage jobs quickly and confidently. Marty Ragland, one of the drivers at PRI, highlights how the mixer’s remote functionality has streamlined their workflow.

“I love the remote. We can fill ditches with flow fill without constantly running back to the truck. I just sit there, control it, and we’re done in no time,” says Ragland. “It’s a game-changer, especially when you’re trying to get in and out of tight spots.”

This ease of use not only saved PRI time but also earned them high marks from their customers. “Now, when we pull up on-site, I hear customers say, ‘I love that truck!’ They appreciate how fast we work and how good the results are,” Ragland adds.

Quality Concrete Every Time

One of the biggest benefits of using Cemen Tech volumetric mixers is the quality of the concrete they produce. Unlike traditional methods, volumetric mixers allow for precise control over the mix, ensuring consistently high standards.

“We poured a 4,000 psi mix, and when tested, it broke at 7,800 psi,” Hargett recalls. “That kind of quality is what customers notice. We’re using pure Portland cement with no fly ash, so the concrete looks great and performs even better.”

Outstanding Support from Cemen Tech

The team at PRI also appreciates the support they receive from Cemen Tech. “When we got the truck, they came out and helped us calibrate it, showed us how to use it, and even shared a few tips to make the most of the truck’s features,” says Hargett. “If we ever need parts or help, their team is always available. You can order online or talk to someone directly, and they make sure you get what you need.”

A Growing Business Thanks to Volumetric Mixers

Since adding Cemen Tech mixers to their fleet, PRI has been able to take on more jobs and expand their operations. “We’re now able to take on weekend work and special projects that other companies can’t,” says
Hargett. “With the C60, we don’t need a concrete plant, and we don’t need multiple trucks. One truck does the job, and our customers are happy.”

For PRI, the Cemen Tech C60 has become an essential tool for growing their business and providing topnotch service to customers. “Cemen Tech isn’t just about selling us a truck—they’ve become a partner in helping us grow,” Hargett concludes.
