Overcoming Concrete Supply Problems with Volumetric Mixers

For a concrete company in Kansas City, waiting for concrete from outside suppliers was slowing down their operations. They needed a way to get concrete on demand and decided to produce it themselves using a Cemen Tech volumetric mixer.

Volumetric mixers allowed the company to have concrete available anytime, eliminating delays. “It was a huge deal for us to have concrete on demand,” said Danyelle Boswell, President, Phillips Sitework. “Customers only pay for what they pour, and it made sense for us.”

The company also adopted Cemen Tech’s ACCU-POUR™ technology, which streamlined their scheduling and reporting. The system tracks exact yardage, making invoicing simple and accurate. “We know exactly what to charge, and invoicing becomes easy,” they shared.

Switching from a manual system to an automated one made a big difference. “It was night and day. The automated system is a lot more user-friendly,” the customer said.

The company has since grown its fleet of volumetric mixers and continues to expand its operations, taking on more jobs and helping customers who need small pours that ready-mix companies can’t handle.
